What is The Love Offensive?
How we got here…
Somewhere in my mid-twenties I knew what my life’s goal was: to see the world and make people feel good. I volunteered in other countries to seize the opportunity to travel when I was young, and now, twenty years later, I have been to 30+ countries, mostly by myself, in pursuit of finding and celebrating what it is to be alive and well on this earth.
I went to New England School of Photography when I was 30 and have been a professional photographer since. I’ve spent my adult life celebrating really good people as they have found love, grown their families, and pursued their dreams. If you’re interested you can find my work at taramorrisimages.com.
My mom had Parkinson’s Disease for 27 years before she finally died on September 20th, 2020. Through the incredibly painful experience of a lifetime watching my strong mom lose her ability to use her body I have found a genuine and deep gratitude for being able to live and move with freedom and strength. The reason I teach yoga, and why I teach with the passion I do, is in honor of my mom. If you are lucky enough to roll out a mat and even contemplate practicing yoga then you are a concert of miracles happening in every moment. I hope you touch that reality in my class, and feel deep gratitude for your able body. I am certified through Rolf Gates’ Yoga Teacher Training, and I have been teaching since 2014. My class is both physically and mentally challenging. It’s a strong, tempoed flow set to music in a hot and humid room. I hope it makes you feel alive.
The Love Offensive Hot Power Yoga is where I hope to grow an incredible community of good people from all corners of the earth who will come together in Providence, RI and celebrate being alive. I hope we heal and connect here, I hope we laugh here. I bet we’ll cry here. You belong here.
The studio’s build-out is funded by my insanely generous yoga community through a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $50K. I feel the tailwind of your generosity and kindness and I will pay that forward in every way I know how.
Here’s to life y’all. May all your dreams come true and may the best be yet to come for each of us.
Peace.
